Job Description: Director of Business Development - ScribeAmerica

Position Summary:

ScribeAmerica seeks a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead and drive our growth in the healthcare sector. This role is critical in expanding our footprint scribing services, ambient AI documentation, and tech-enabled services. The ideal candidate will be an experienced healthcare sales professional with a proven track record of success in acquiring new business and developing strategic partnerships at the enterprise level. This is an individual contributor role, requiring hands-on sales execution and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy and tactical plan to acquire new enterprise clients within the healthcare sector.

    • Identify and target potential clients, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights to drive business growth.

    • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.

  • Healthcare Sales Expertise:

    • Utilize a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and ScribeAmerica’s unique service offerings as solutions to client needs.

    • Sell ScribeAmerica’s suite of services as enterprise deals to healthcare organizations, hospitals, and clinics.

  • CRM & Sales Tools:

    • Effectively utilize CRM tools to manage client relationships, track sales activities, and ensure accurate forecasting.

    • Maintain detailed records of all sales activities and client interactions.

  • Travel & Client Engagement:

    • Travel extensively to meet with clients, attend industry conferences, and represent ScribeAmerica at key events.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives and decision-makers.

  • Reporting & Analysis:

    • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development initiatives to the EVP of Sales & Marketing and Executive team.

    • Develop business plans that align with company objectives and drive growth in target markets.

  • Social Media & Thought Leadership:

    • Leverage social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, to build a personal brand as a subject matter expert in the medical scribe industry.

    • Engage in online discussions, share insights, and network with industry professionals to raise awareness of ScribeAmerica’s offerings.

  • Industry Expertise:

    • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the medical scribe and healthcare sectors.

    • Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team on emerging opportunities and potential threats.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in healthcare sales, business development, or a related field, with a focus on selling to enterprise clients.

  • Proven track record of success in acquiring new business and driving revenue growth.

  • Strong understanding of the medical scribe industry and the healthcare market.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot) and other sales enablement technologies.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to travel extensively with some weekends for company-sponsored events (up to 25%).

  • Strong social media presence, particularly on LinkedIn, with the ability to engage and influence online audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and motivation.
