Job Description: Director of Business Development - ScribeAmerica
Position Summary:
ScribeAmerica seeks a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead and drive our growth in the healthcare sector. This role is critical in expanding our footprint scribing services, ambient AI documentation, and tech-enabled services. The ideal candidate will be an experienced healthcare sales professional with a proven track record of success in acquiring new business and developing strategic partnerships at the enterprise level. This is an individual contributor role, requiring hands-on sales execution and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy and tactical plan to acquire new enterprise clients within the healthcare sector.
Identify and target potential clients, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights to drive business growth.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
Healthcare Sales Expertise:
Utilize a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and ScribeAmerica’s unique service offerings as solutions to client needs.
Sell ScribeAmerica’s suite of services as enterprise deals to healthcare organizations, hospitals, and clinics.
CRM & Sales Tools:
Effectively utilize CRM tools to manage client relationships, track sales activities, and ensure accurate forecasting.
Maintain detailed records of all sales activities and client interactions.
Travel & Client Engagement:
Travel extensively to meet with clients, attend industry conferences, and represent ScribeAmerica at key events.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives and decision-makers.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development initiatives to the EVP of Sales & Marketing and Executive team.
Develop business plans that align with company objectives and drive growth in target markets.
Social Media & Thought Leadership:
Leverage social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, to build a personal brand as a subject matter expert in the medical scribe industry.
Engage in online discussions, share insights, and network with industry professionals to raise awareness of ScribeAmerica’s offerings.
Industry Expertise:
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the medical scribe and healthcare sectors.
Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team on emerging opportunities and potential threats.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in healthcare sales, business development, or a related field, with a focus on selling to enterprise clients.
Proven track record of success in acquiring new business and driving revenue growth.
Strong understanding of the medical scribe industry and the healthcare market.
Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot) and other sales enablement technologies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel extensively with some weekends for company-sponsored events (up to 25%).
Strong social media presence, particularly on LinkedIn, with the ability to engage and influence online audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and motivation.
