About the Role
The Virtual Classroom Training Instructor (VCRTI) is a dynamic and highly skilled position that is responsible for delivering and managing engaging and effective virtual training sessions for our diverse employee population. The ideal candidate blends exceptional virtual facilitation techniques with a deep understanding of learning principles in a remote environment, ensuring our employees achieve the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver high-quality, compliant employees in a healthcare setting.
What You’ll Do
- The Virtual Classroom Training Instructor (VCRTI) is generally responsible for 3 main domains: delivery, technology, and compliance.
- Live Session Delivery
- Lead and conduct scheduled, synchronous (live) training sessions with professionalism and energy, adhering to established learning objectives and pacing guidelines.
- Learner Engagement
- Actively manage and promote learner engagement through expert use of platform tools, consistent monitoring of the chat window, and proactive Q&A facilitation.
- Performance Feedback
- Provide timely, specific, and constructive feedback to learners during and after training sessions to reinforce learning and address knowledge gaps.
- Platform Mastery
- Maintain expert proficiency in the company’s designated Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) (i.e. Zoom, Google Meets), including setup, security, and advanced features (e.g., administering permissions, recording sessions).
- Logistics Coordination
- Manage pre-session logistics, including sending meeting invitations, distributing any pre-work requirements, and ensuring participants have the necessary information and reminders for class.
- Technical Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for basic technical troubleshooting during live sessions, guiding participants through audio, video, or connectivity issues to minimize disruption.
- Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure personal instructional equipment (webcam, microphone, reliable internet connection) meets organizational standards for quality and stability.
- Knowledge Assessment
- Administer and grade post-training assessments, tests, and certification exams to measure knowledge transfer and skill acquisition.
- Data Reporting
- Track and report key training metrics, including completion rates, proficiency scores, attendance logs, and participant feedback, to inform ongoing program improvements.
- Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure all training materials and delivery methods adhere strictly to relevant healthcare compliance standards (i.e. HIPAA) and company policies.
- Curriculum Maintenance
- Maintain and update training materials at the direction ofyour manager to reflect changes in industry regulations, technology platforms, and internal processes.
What You’ll Need
- 6+ months of scribe and/or allied health experience preferred
- 3+ months of trainer experience
- A typing speed of 50+ WPM preferred
- Extensive knowledge of the intricacies of provider documentation
- Thorough understanding of medical facility workflow, efficiency management, and nuances of medical documentation
- Possesses excellent teaching skills and ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
- Empathic communicator with a knack for connecting with learners
- Proven ability to work with learners to encourage them, challenge them, and acknowledge personal growth
- Expertise in operating the specific Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) used (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets)
- Ability to self-manage high-quality audio (clear microphone, no feedback) and video (good lighting, appropriate background) to maintain a professional and engaging presence
- Competence in quickly resolving common technical issues experienced by learners (e.g., connection drops, audio failure, access problems) without disrupting the entire session flow
- Proven leadership ability and supervisory skills.

Compensation range:
Our compensation range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
