About the Role
A Senior Employee Relations Manager is a strategic leader within Human Resources, focusing on fostering positive employee relations and a healthy workplace culture. They handle complex employee issues, conduct investigations, and provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters. Their role also involves developing and implementing employee relations strategies, policies, and training programs.


What You’ll Do

  • Managing Employee Relations Issues:
    • Investigating and resolving employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary actions. 
  • Providing Guidance and Support:
    • Offering expert advice to managers and HR staff on employee relations matters, including policy interpretation and legal compliance. 
  • Developing and Implementing Strategies:
    • Creating and implementing employee relations strategies, policies, and training programs to promote a positive work environment. 
  • Conducting Investigations:
    • Leading investigations into sensitive and complex employee relations matters, ensuring fairness, impartiality, and compliance with legal requirements. 
  • Mediation and Conflict Resolution:
    • Facilitating resolutions in employee conflicts and disputes. 
  • Training and Development:
    • Conducting training programs for employees and managers on relevant topics such as diversity and inclusion, conflict resolution, and harassment prevention. 
  • Staying Current:
    • Keeping abreast of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in employee relations. 
  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyzing employee relations data to identify trends and areas for improvement. 
  • Collaboration:
    • Working closely with Legal, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions.

What You’ll Need

  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience in employee relations, with experience in leading investigations and managing complex case
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management. 
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. 
  • Proven ability to mediate disputes and facilitate positive outcomes in conflict situations. 
  • Thorough understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations. 
  • Ability to lead and influence others, build relationships, and drive change. 
  • Ability to think strategically and develop proactive solutions to employee relations issues.

    • Our base compensation for this position is $70,000 - $75,000, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time remote position with days Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, as needed.
