About the Role

The Accounts Receivable (AR) & Collections Manager will oversee all aspects of the company's AR cycle, from invoicing and cash application to strategic collections and dispute resolution. This role requires proven leadership in managing a high-volume AR portfolio, optimizing processes, and using project management methodologies to drive system and process improvement initiatives. Expertise in Workday Financials is essential.

What You’ll Do

  • Accounts Receivable & Collections Management: Lead the day-to-day operations of the AR and Collections team, ensuring timely invoicing, accurate cash application, and aggressive yet professional collection efforts to minimize Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

  • Process Improvement (Project Management Focus): Utilize formal project management skills (e.g., planning, execution, stakeholder management) to identify, design, and implement continuous improvements in AR processes, reducing manual effort and enhancing internal controls.

  • System Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Accounts Receivable functions within Workday Financials, including reporting, configurations, and integration points with other financial modules.

  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely AR aging reports, forecast collections, and analyze key metrics (DSO, bad debt exposure) for senior management.

  • Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and evaluate AR staff, fostering a high-performance, customer-service-oriented team environment.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Collections, with at least 2 years in a management/supervisory role.

  • Mandatory hands-on experience using Workday Financials for all core AR functions (invoicing, cash application, collections, reporting).

  • Demonstrated experience using Project Management principles to drive successful finance or system-related improvements.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for effective internal and external conflict resolution.

Compensation Range
Our compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
